Drive it until it dies. That's the motto I lived by as my truck, Crash, crisscrossed the West. Family members would doubtfully ask, "Are you sure you want to drive there?" I did. Friends would ask about Crash's well being as though he was my aging dog. Though I knew the day was coming, I was still blindsided when the gears ground to a halt on my way to Yosemite. Could my belief in Crash transcend beyond the hulk of metal?

One of my favorite episodes ever. You said it perfectly: "Money spent living passionately is better than any piece of gear you can buy". Thanks for all of your hard work on the episodes and for all the great music. I've found some of my very favorite bands and songs from your podcasts. Keep it up!

Hey Fitz, Another arresting, moving episode. The autobiographical tale that ties it all together is captivating, as always when you're narrating your life, but I also loved your contextualization of Adams's *Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico*. It takes commentary like that to pull Adams back from the world of pseudo-inspirational sayings on office wall posters to that of the abiding passion for wilderness and the West that was his. Many thanks. Cannon
