When Ryan Smith set out to hike all sixty-seven 4,000 foot mountains in New England, he expected to be finished in a handful of years. But life threw him a curve ball. A shooting pain in his groin led him on a different kind of journey with his body, his partner, and his understanding of what is important.

Loved this Ryan. Thank you for sharing your inspirational story.
Wow!! Ryan, you have such a great way of telling your story… articulate, engaging, and emotional❤️
You told the story in a way I relived all those moments.
Soo touching😘
My mom, 76, passed away last year from a 3rd bout with cancer including leukemia in the ‘70s before I was born.
She & I always gave pause to those times between bouts as the most precious years.
Keep ascending toward goals like Ryan. And embrace & remain within the pause.
This was an eyeopener for both Charlie & I this morning as we continue to move through this very crooked line in time. Often, not living up to our full potentials and taking for granted things that are given to us. Your story touched both of us in a way that we needed today. Went on a small hike in the western mountains of Maine in your honor, Ryan. Thank you Jani & Charlie Shannon ( perhaps you don’t remember us but we spent New Years with you both and your Aunt Wendy, Uncle Bob at your in-laws approximately 5 yrs ago)
Loved listening to this, love you guys❤️
